8th Annual Arlington Fun Ride

This scenic, family-friendly bike ride will give you the chance to experience the paved, multi-use trails that make up the “Arlington Loop” while enjoying support from rest stops in Bluemont Park, Ballston, Rosslyn and Crystal City. Riders may choose 4-, 8-, 12- or 16- mile distances. There will also be a 4-mile children’s ride, suitable for riders ages 10 and under, that will take our standard 4-mile route but at a slow pace with extra marshal support. Lastly, there will be a 2-mile ride for our youngest riders. Riders will learn fun facts about Arlington nature and history throughout the ride and enjoy games, activities and some surprises along the way! 

All riders will get one raffle ticket for each rest stop they pass through, an additional raffle ticket for crossing the finish line and some extra raffle tickets along the way for completing fun challenges. Raffle prizes will be drawn at the finish line festival at the Arlington Mill Community Center plaza, immediately following the ride (must be present to win). 

This is a staggered start ride. Riders can start their ride anytime between 8am and 9:30am. We are asking riders to choose their personalized start times, based on their expected pace and distance, in order to arrive back to the start/finish line (909 S. Dinwiddie St., Arlington, VA 22204) no later than 10:30am, as the prize raffle will begin at 11:00am. In case it is helpful, suggested start times are below. If you would like to be guided by a ride marshal, please plan for these times. 

16 miles – 7:30am check-in, 8:00am start

12 miles – 8:00am check-in, 8:30am start 

8 miles – 8:30am check-in, 9:00am start
