Message from CCCA’s President

Livability22202 is looking at the problem of crime in the area. We are meeting with the police and are looking for volunteers to work on the issue. If you are interested, please email me at: president@crystalcitycivic.org.

Last month we did a survey on potential names for the two parks at the Amazon HQ2 sites:  MetPark and PenPlace.  The results are here.  Overall, the names chosen are likely candidates for the final names.

Lastly, have a great summer! Be sure and take some time off and enjoy life!

– Eric Cassel, CCCA President

Paving Work on S Clark May 9Contractor crews will mill and pave the travel lanes and street parking areas on South Clark Street between 20th Street and 23rd Street South on Friday, May 9. Work hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting. There will be staggered closures for the north and southbound lanes on South Clark Street while milling and paving is in progress. Temporary “No Parking” signs will be placed at locations with street parking at least 48 hours prior to the start of the work. In addition, there will be a partial crosswalk closure at South Clark Street and 23rd Street South during paving work hours. Please follow all signage and flagger instructions to be safely redirected through the work areas. You should expect traffic impacts, parking restrictions, sidewalk closures, dust and noise. We will make every effort to minimize these inconveniences and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Call 703-228-5000 with any questions about this paving work. Once paving work is completed, County signing and marking contractors will implement a two-way cycletrack on South Clark Street between 20th Street and 23rd Street South using concept designs provided by the Crystal City Bike Network (CCBN) plan. Installation of vertical separation devices will follow signage and marking work.
